Spellbinders Card

Hello All,

Just wanted to post my first Spellbinders Card. I came across a website with some amazing cards on it which uses the Spellbinders Dies. So of course I went on the hunt for five days in order to purchase just the right die sets. Each day I used my 40% off coupon for some savings because these things are a little bit cha ching........ I had a little bit of a learning curve for I had never used my cuttlebug for anything other than embossing folders.  I already had some Spellbinders Shapeabilities I didn't quite know what to do with as well as some Label Nestabilities. I had to do some research in order to understand the Spellbinders sets and I still don't have everything I need to make a complete Spellbinders card. So this is my first attempt with what I had to work with for now. I think it came out pretty and definately more advanced than any other card I have ever done.... I like it and will probably invest in a couple of the grand sets.

I was able to put this card together using the following kits:

SB Nestabilities Resplendent Rectangles
SB Nestabilities Romantic Rectangles
SB Edgeabilities Classic Petal
SB Shapeabilities Moroccan Accents
SB Shapeabilities Fancy Tags Two
The Celebrate Stamp is from Stampin Ups' Outlined Occasions Set and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby

Thanks for Looking....

On the Hunt

This two page spread was created using the On the Hunt cut file from Treasure Box Designs. As always this layout can accommodate 4 full size photos. I hid a lot of extra eggs in the grass. Can you count them all (even the ones in the baskets)? I especially loved the little bunnies that are buttons on the boys overalls and the ones in the little girls hair as pony tail holders. I laid the pages as a two page spread as below but I bet it would look even better if you swapped the two pages.

Egg Coloring Kit

I had a great time completing this layout also using the Coloring Eggs cut file from Treasure Box Designs. There were so many elements to this single cut fule that I couldn't fit them all in one layout so I made two. I like to use full size photo mats on my pages for those people that don't like to cut their photos. This layout also has an extra spot for journaling. I left these eggs plain and not decorated but added flowers with brads to the bunny's ears. I think it makes them look like girl bunnys that way.....

Coloring Eggs

This layout was created using the Coloring Eggs cut file from Treasure Box Designs. I spent some extra time decorating the eggs that are laying on the ground and used some stickles to make the egg holder stand out a little better. I also used some paper flowers with a brad on the shoes. I think it came out real cute. Also note that the layout will accommodate four full size (4x6) photos.

Beary Charming Tear Bears

This two page layout was completed by first creating the three Tear Bears from Mulberry Paper. If you have never done them - they are great fun. It's rewarding to see them come to life from a piece of paper. I then created the additional paper pieces and the glittered charms. I had a hard time trying to find paper that wouldn't clash with the colors of the charms yet still allowing the bears to pop off the page. I think using the white wash with the brown tones worked out perfectly. Kind of a shabby chic look.....

Boy Sleepover

With the help of a paper piecing file from Treasure Box Designs called Camp Out, I was able to create the following layout using paper from the BoBunny Collection called Camp - A - Lot. I had a great time piecing the boys together along with their pillows and sleeping bags. I also love the sign. I will also work on a treehouse for the girls that says "No Boys Allowed".

Wedding Bells

A handmade Wedding Album makes the perfect gift for the happy couple. There are always lots of photos even if they can't afford the professional ones. I completed the following layout for a friend to help her get started using the Wedding Collection cut file from Treasure Box Designs. The cut file is great because it has a lot of elements that are not included in this layout which give you an additional two or three sets of pages. Also, don't forget that wedding layouts don't have to be just black and white or silver or gold even. Don't forget to include the bridesmaids colors in your layouts as accents.

Hope everyone had a fantastic Valentines Day.... My husband was very sweet and had a dozen roses along with the greatest card ever waiting for me in my office when I got to work. The room smelled amazing when I walked in. He took me to my favorite steak place for dinner and let me have total control of the remote when we got home and snuggled on the sofa.

Hope you took pictures of your special day - Should you need some inspiration, following are some layouts I created recently using paper peicings from Treasure Box Designs.

This uses the Tic Tac Toe 4 Two cut File from Treasure Box Designs

This uses the Fuzzy Kisses and Chocolate Wishes from Treasure Box Designs.

This is a layout that uses a freebie file from Treasure Box Designs. What a great company to put out a free file that is actually usable. Love them....

Tear Bears

Look How Cute!!!!!!

I have been terrified to work with these little creations before now. Since I have been doing almost all paper piecings lately it made this adventure less scary - so I ordered a kit from The Beary Scrap and watched a couple of online videos, dove right in and finished these adorable little things. I have ordered more mullbery paper in different colors and can't wait to make more.... Next I will be purchasing and making clothes for these little guys from Treasure Box Designs. A layout will be coming soon..... Keep your eyes open for it....

Another Great Weekend with the Girls

I had a great weekend scrapp'n with the girls. It was great to catch up with everyone and get some great pictures down on paper..... I actually spent too much time doing husband chores and only got one layout completed and another one partially done. So here is the St. Patricks Day one I finished....

I've gotta say - now that I've started using the Treasure Box Design files - I'm not sure I remember how to go back and create a layout on my own.....OH WELL...

Sick Day

What a perfect day to take a me day also called "a sick day". Woke up this morning to it snowing outside. That is twice already in a month here in Dallas Texas. I left my driveway to take the kid to school and then run off to work when my neighbor stopped me and said he had already been out and the roads were horrible so if I absolutely didn't have to go - not to.... That was enough inspiration for me to back up into the driveway and spend the rest of the day in my pajama's.... So of course I did some scrapp'n and this is what I came up with so far.

This was completed using the Got Milk and Cookies file from Treasure Box Designs

and this one was completed using the Snow Place Like Home file from Treasure Box Designs.....

I'm having a Blast

OMG - I am having such a good time working with these cut files from Treasure Box Designs. Since the files are currently on sale for 40% off - you know I had to purchase my fair share of them!!!!! And since I have a group of ladies in this weekend I will be scrapp'n it up and hope to have lots to post. But until then here are a couple of other layouts.
